Bug reports, feature requests, questions about the Enterprise Edition and security reports all reach the same address.

What counts as a bug

A bug is when Gateshift does not do what its documentation says. What it does not do lives in KNOWN_LIMITATIONS.md in the repository; anything beyond that is a feature request, not a defect.

Bug reports

Welcome and genuinely useful. Please include:

• the vendor and the exact firmware version
• the verbatim error message or the relevant log text
• what you did, and what you expected instead

Feature requests

Welcome from anyone. They are read and labelled, but carry no commitment and no date.

Support

There is no support entitlement for the Community Edition. Questions are read, and answered when time allows. That is a courtesy, not a service level. Support for the Enterprise Edition is a matter for the commercial agreement.

Contributions

Pull requests are not accepted as a rule. Single-copyright ownership is what makes the licence model and the Enterprise Edition possible. Substantial contributions are possible case by case, under a contributor agreement. Ask first.

Security

Report vulnerabilities privately to info@gateshift.org, not in a public issue. Security fixes are made for the latest release only, and ship in the next one.
